In early development
Your own little
AI assistant.
Chat in your terminal, a web browser, or Discord, keep useful facts and procedures, and schedule tasks. Poppet runs on your computer, saves your sessions locally, and connects to a model provider you choose.
Run from source with Bun. Connect your own model provider. Poppet is still unstable, and features may change.
A little help, on your terms
Pick up a conversation. Leave a task for later.
Start with a conversation. Add memory, scheduled work, or optional tools when you need them.
Saved conversations.
Chat in your terminal, come back to saved sessions, and search past conversations.
Memory and skills.
Keep a profile and facts that Poppet uses across chats. Save reusable procedures and pick one for a chat or task.
Scheduled tasks.
Run a prompt later or on a schedule. Edit, pause, or run tasks, and read the results whenever you like.
Chat from Discord.
Talk to Poppet in Discord threads that only its owner can use. Send scheduled results to a channel you choose.
Optional tools
Each one has its own settings and permissions.
Runs on your computer
Your conversations stay with you.
Poppet keeps conversations, facts, tasks, and settings in a data directory on your computer, ~/.config/poppet by default. Model requests go to the provider account you connect.
Choose what powers Poppet
- ChatGPT
Use the ChatGPT plan you already have.
- OpenRouter
